ECM HVAC range for OEM's

Royce Cross offer new technology to OEM's in the form of (ECM) electronically controlled variable speed motors for HVAC applications from Crompton Greaves. The ECM series are energy efficient motors utilising permanent magnet motor technology. The motor is a brushless DC motor with three-phase stator winding and commutation achieved by switching electronics, which can obtain information on the position of the permanent magnet rotor either by means of 'hall effect' type sensors or by back EMF sensing.

The features of the ECM series include,

Standard NEMA frame 48 and 42 motor construction
Detachable motor controller provided with in-built AC to DC converters to use it in systems where only AC supply is available
Sensor less motor control provides noise free operation at all speeds and excellent speed control
Customised mounting arrangements available to replace existing PSC motors
Programmable motors which include high end software features like:

a. Variable speed multi step control with additional torque control features like initial torque boost and dynamic torque control.

b. Two way communicating motors with open communication protocol for customised humidity removal ramp and airflow profiles for specific applications.
